Chapter 2 Season 1 Dive! Challenges (Fortnite Battle Pass Guide)

Mission Objectives

Deal (200) damage to descending Supply Drops

If executed perfectly, most players should be able to complete this Challenge on their first attempt. Simply wait for a Supply Drop to begin falling, as indicated by the sound effect and blue flare on the ground; Then box yourself in and spray at the Supply Drop’s balloon with an Assault Rifle.

(3) Eliminations at Hydro 16 or Holly Hedges

Hydro 16 refers to the Hydro Dam located East of Slurpy Swamp, and of course, Holly Hedges is the named point of interest on the West side of the map.

Be sure to refer to the following Chest spawns maps that way you can have an advantage over your opponents. While either of these two locations will work for the Challenge, our personal preference would be Holly Hedges as it’s likely to have more loot and opponents.

Hydro 16

There are a total of 5 Chest spawn locations at Hydro 16.

Holly Hedges

There are a total of 13 Chest spawn locations in Holly Hedges.

Search a Supply Drop within 10 seconds of it landing 3 times

Supply Drop spawns are indicated by beeping and airdrop sound effects, the location which a Supply Drop will land is marked by a blue flare.

The best way to guarantee that you will be able to search the Supply Drop within 10 seconds of it landing is to build at least a 1x1 box around the blue flare. This way you’re protected on all sides from enemy fire, though you will have to decide whether or not to keep watch for any enemies who may sneak up on you and secure an easy elimination.

If you find yourself struggling with this Challenge, consider going into Team Rumble mode where you can take advantage of the respawn and persistent loot mechanics.

Complete the (2) swimming time trials at Lazy Lake and East of Hydro 16

Both of the swimming time trials can be found at the marks on the map above, West of Lazy Lake and East of Hydro 16.

Tap your jump button repeatedly while swimming to dive in and out of the water. This gives you a speed boost which is currently the fastest method of travel while in the water besides using a motorboat. This is also the only way to make progress when swimming against a current. Don’t worry about taking fall damage while completing the Time Trials as any body of water which the player can swim in will also negate fall damage.

(3) Eliminations without aiming down sights

Do to the nature of the weapon class, Shotguns should be your first choice when completing this Challenge. For most players, this is another no-brainer which you’ll complete without even trying, as most shotgun eliminations don’t even require you to aim down sights.

If you find yourself struggling with this Challenge, consider taking advantage of the respawn and persistent loot mechanics in the Team Rumble mode.

Pull an item, pull an opponent, and catch a fish using a Harpoon Gun

The Harpoon Gun is a Rare item which is only effective at close to medium ranges, at longer ranges, it will not hit its target. The Harpoon Gun can be used to pull players to the shooter’s position, including teammates. It can also be used for rapid fishing, but only in fishing spots.

Do be aware that the Harpoon Gun has a limited amount of Hooks which cannot be resupplied once used, unless another Harpoon Gun is acquired.

Deal damage to opponents within 30 seconds of using a glider

The easiest way to complete this Challenge is by taking advantage of the respawn and persistent loot mechanics in the Team Rumble mode. Here, you can run at the enemies and allow yourself to be eliminated, then respawn right above them and glide down for an easy elimination.

The harder way of going about this Challenge would be playing in any of the class modes and attempting to deal the damage within 30 seconds of landing from the Battle Bus.

Search 2 Chests within 30 seconds of each other 3 times

Most players should find this Challenge super simple. Of course, the best way to go about it is to land at a dense location, such as any of the named points of interest, where many Chests can be found.

Our personal pick would be Misty Meadows as it’s a relatively small location with 27 Chest spawns!

Harvest (300) wood within 60 seconds after landing from the Battle Bus in a single match

For this Challenge, you’ll absolutely want to land at the Logjam Woodworks Landmark. Here you’ll find countless wood pallets which will allow you to easily collect 300 wood within the minute requirement.

With this location, you can also bail to the nearby Weeping Woods if you run out of wooden pallets are there are too many enemies nearby.

Deal damage with 2 different weapons within 30 seconds

This is a Challenge which most players will passively complete without trying too hard. The simplest way to go about it is to carry both a Shotgun and an Assault Rifle, as you typically would; Get a shot or two in with the Assault Rifle, then push your opponent and finish them off with the Shotgun.

Search the hidden “E” found in the Dive! Loading Screen

The hidden letter “E” can be found atop a light pole on the dam East of Slurpy Swamp at the Hydro 16 Landmark, as shown on the map above and in-game image below.
