Chapter 2 Season 1 Chaos Rising Challenges (Fortnite Battle Pass Guide)

Mission Objectives

Search (7) Ammo Boxes at Steamy Stacks or Holly Hedges

For this Challenge, we cannot provide a map of Ammo Box spawn locations due to the sheer amount of them. You should be able to complete this Challenge with no problems just from visiting either of these two locations a few times.

Skydive through rings in Steamy Stacks

Two rings can be found at Steamy Stacks, one in each of the Nuclear Reactors. To complete this Challenge, simply land on the rim of the Reactor after jumping from the Battle Bus, then skydive into the ring below.

If you do not go from the Battle Bus to Steamy Stacks, you can start from the bottom of the Reactors and use the upward breeze to skydive through the rings as well.

Complete a Motorboat time trial

There are a total of three Motorboat Time Trials located around the map, completing any one of these three Trials is all that’s required for completing this Challenge.

Motorboats have a total of 700HP and have the ability to shoot missiles, meaning you shouldn’t worry about being targeted by enemies too much while completing this Challenge. With that being said, given the fact that you can fit four players in a Motorboat at once, consider doing this Challenge in the Squads mode with a few friends for an easy completion.

Deal (250) damage to opponents from below

This Challenge may prove to be a bit trickier than the usual damage from above Challenges. The best way to go about it is to visit a populated location, such as Lazy Lake, and stay on the low-ground while fighting enemies who are on rooftops. You can also refrain from building when getting into close-range engagements as this will guarantee that you stay below the enemy.

If you find yourself struggling to complete this Challenge, consider taking advantage of the persistent loot and respawn mechanics in the Team Rumble mode.

Dance at the Green Steel Bridge, the Yellow Steel Bridge, and the Red Steel Bridge

You can find the locations of these three bridges on the map above. Simply visit each of the bridges, then use any Emote while standing on them to complete this Challenge.

Green Steel Bridge

The Green Steel Bridge can be found Southeast of Frenzy Farm.

Yellow Steel Bridge

The Yellow Steel Bridge can be found East of Misty Meadows.

Red Steel Bridge

The Red Steel Bridge can be found South of Pleasant Park.

(3) Eliminations with Shotguns

As of the v11.21 update, there are only two Shotguns available in Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode - the Pump Shotgun and Tactical Shotgun; Each of which have their own advantages and disadvantages, as you’ve probably learned if you’re a regular player.

Due to the nature of Shotguns, most of your eliminations using them will be close range. For tips regarding close range combat, check out the Challenge below from 5 Meter Eliminations.

Use a Zipline in (2) different matches

Ziplines can be found quite literally all over the map, usually connecting two hilltops together. You should have no issues completing this Challenge during casual play.

(3) Eliminations from within 5 meters

It may seem obvious, but the best loadout for this Challenge consists of your Shotgun of choice (Tactical or Pump) and an Assault Rifle. This ensures that you can deliver those heavy shots with the Shotgun, but also spray down any building your opponent may put up to prevent you from dealing damage.

If you’re struggling to complete this Challenge, consider checking out our YouTube Channel where we post informative videos which aim to help players of all levels improve their gameplay. For this Challenge, our video on Creative Building Tricks to Outsmart Your Opponents which should help you secure those tricky close-range eliminations.

Search (5) Chests in a single match

This is another one of those Challenges which you’ll easily complete without even trying. But with that being said, if you’re looking to complete this Challenge as soon as possible, we recommend landing at Gorgeous Gorge or Blue Steel Bridge; Both of these locations have a total of 5 Chest spawns and are relatively unpopular.

Gorgeous Gorge

Blue Steel Bridge

Deal (500) damage to opponents while in water

For this Challenge, you’ll absolutely want to take advantage of the persistent loot and respawn mechanics in the Team Rumble mode. Here, you’ll have practically unlimited opportunities to throw yourself in the rivers and deal damage to unsuspecting opponents.

There isn’t much strategy to this Challenge due to the limitations imposed by the water, but be sure to take advantage of the faster swimming method by pressing the jump button while in the water.

Search the XP Drop hidden in the Chaos Rising Loading Screen

Now that the F-O-R-T-N-I-T-E letters have been collected, XP Drops are available for players to obtain once they have completed all of their Weekly Challenges.

The Chaos Rising XP Drop can be found at Steamy Stacks, near the Kevin The Cube memorial.
