Fortnite Chapter 2 Promotional Art Leak + Breakdown
In the early hours of Friday, October 11th - nearly 48 hours until The End - an image surfaced on Twitter and Reddit which appears to be promotional art for Fortnite Chapter 2. That’s right, it seems that Season 11 is no longer on the horizon, and instead, Chapter 2 has taken its place.
An official announcement has yet to be made regarding this information, but multiple sources have confirmed that the French Apple App Store leaked the image ahead of its intended release.
Surprisingly, there is actually quite a bit of information to digest from this single image… Check it out below and let us know your thoughts on our Twitter: @FNMasterCom; Also stay tuned for full Fortnite Chapter 2 coverage!
First and foremost, it is very clear to tell that the map seen in this image is entirely new, unlike anything that we’ve seen before. This isn’t just a few new points of interest as we’ve seen in prior Seasons, we’re looking at one of the most requested changes over Fortnite’s 2-year lifespan - a new map!
Previous leaks have given the community various names of supposed points of interest, including Dirty Docks, Beachy Bluffs, and more. In this leaked image, we can see locations which fit the descriptions of both Dirty Docks and Beachy Bluffs…
Various biome types can be seen in this image as well, such as a snow biome, swamp biome, and plains biome. It’s likely that Epic will continue the trend of having multiple biomes in a single map to keep things fresh and unique.
Fortnite Battle Royale has had its fair share of vehicles over the years, but while land and air vehicles have been present in various forms, we’ve yet to see water vehicles make an appearance. However, two Speedboats can be seen in the water of this leaked image.
All players are randomly equipped with a Default Outfits in Battle Royale if no other Outfit is equipped. These are commonly referred to as Default Skins, and have not changed since the game’s launch. It seems that this is changing in Chapter 2 as the outfits which the characters are wearing may be the new Default Skins starting with the v11.00 update.
Each Fortnite Season, or in this case, Chapter - tends to vault many weapons while also adding new weapons into the loot pool. While not too important, this image clearly shows that the Tactical Shotgun will not be vaulted in the v11.00 patch as the leftmost character is holding it.
