Fortnite Esports Roster Changes and Player Signings - February 24th, 2020

Welcome back to our monthly* series that covers the latest roster changes and player signings in Fortnite Esports. Gaming organizations are adjusting rosters and picking up new players every week, so we decided to start this series to keep track of all the changes. There is no shortage of top-tier talent in this community and we love to see players' hard work pay off.


Team SoloMid’s roster changes in the recent months might just be the most significant, many players have left, yet many new players have joined the organization.

On January 4th, 2020, Cloud and Herrions left the team, both of which were talented players, Cloud having placed Top 3 in the Winter Royale and Herrions winning the C2S1W1 Champion Series. We’re eager to see what they’ll go on to accomplish!

On February 21st, 2020, Vinny1x departed from Team SoloMid citing a lack of competitiveness and enjoyment in the game. Vinny1x is a talened player with many Top 10 placements over the last year, and his last Tournament win being Katowice Royale. We hope that some time off brings him new enjoyment of the game in the future.



On February 21st, 2020, after nearly 2 years with the team, SpaceLyon announced his departure from FaZe Clan. The exact reasons for this are unknown, but the player cites “Big news” coming soon, perhaps a move to a new organization.


100 Thieves

On February 20th, 2020, MrSavage announced that he has joined the lucrative 100 Thieves organization. This news arrived just 10 days after his departure from NRG, but it was absolutely a huge pickup for the team. MrSavage has won Tournaments such as C2S1W10 Cash Cup, Community Showdown Finals, C2S1W6 Contender Cash Cup, and even the Week 2 World Cup Qualifiers. Just three days after joining 100T, MrSavage also won Dreamhack Anaheim 2020!


On February 21st, 2020, just a day after MrSavage’s grand entrance to the organization - 100 Thieves announced that Rehx would be joining the team. Rex is another superstar player with wins in Tournaments such as C2S1W11 Content Cash Cup, C2S1W10 Solo Cash Cup, C2S1W4 Champion Series, Trios Cash Cup, and more.


Dare Rising

On January 27th, BarBan left Dare Rising and has yet to join a new team. BarBan was previously a member of Retake, but had multiple wins in the Champion Series Warmup and Xbox Exclusive Cup (SEA).


On February 10th, 2020, MrSavage announced his departure from NRG’s European division. This news came as a shock to the community as he was a competitive player for the team for over a year, and has amassed nearly half a million followers on Twitter over the years.

On February 23rd, 2020, UnknownxArmy parted ways with Kungarna and immediately joined NRG. Unknown is an extremely talented player, having won the C2S1W9 Cash Cup, C2S1W8 Contender Cash Cup, and finishing in the Top 70 of the World Cup Solos.



On February 14th, 2020, FNC saw the departure of three of their Fortnite players: MOTOR, Pr0vokd, and verox. The reasons for this sudden mass departure are unknown, but there was some serious talent amongst these players; All three of which placing in the Top 3 during the Champions Cup series, while Pr0vokd and verox won the BDS Cup in September of 2019.
