Season X Spray and Pray Challenges (Fortnite Battle Pass Guide)

Mission Objects

Deal (500) damage with SMGs to opponents

Your choices for this Challenge include the Submachine Gun, Suppressed Submachine Gun, and Burst SMG.

  • The Submachine gun seems to be considered the best close range option of the available choices. It’s predominantly powerful during indoors fights during the early game, but you’re likely to be outgunned by well-aimed Shotgun players.
  • The Burst SMG can be very deadly at close range. Instead of aiming for the head however, you want to aim slightly lower so that the gun’s natural recoil forces you to hit multiple shots (and usually a headshot.) Landing on enemies in a hot drop usually results in a quick elimination or two. Just don’t panic and remember to aim before shooting.
  • Last but not least is the Suppressed Submachine Gun. This is considered the best option for relatively long-range combat when it comes to SMGs due to its lower rate of fire. The Suppressed SMG is a good choice for catching enemies off-guard or dealing chip damage from far away.

If you really want to get it out of the way quickly, Team Rumble will make completing this challenge trivial.

Spray a Fountain, a Junkyard Crane, and a Vending Machine

For this Challenge you’ll need to have unlocked any Spray; If this is your first Season, Tier 8 in the Season X Battle Pass will reward you with one.

Fountain

The Fountain can be found in the center of Mega Mall.

Junkyard Crane

The Junkyard Crane can be found in Junk Junction.

Vending Machine

Any Vending Machine on the map is expected to work with this Challenge. Rather than going out of your way to look for one, just Spray the Vending Machine directly across from the Junkyard Crane.

Spray (3) different Gas Stations

Above is a map of the 7 different Gas Station locations.

The most optimal route for this Challenge would be to land at Lucky Landing, then visit the three Gas Stations on the way to Paradise Palms.

Find (5) lost Spraycans

There are a total of 7 Spraycan locations, all listed in the map above. They’re rather evenly spread throughout the map, but some are harder to reach than others. For example, the one found in Shifty Shafts requires you to break some nearby scrap to see the Spraycan.

Because of their density, there is no perfect route to take for this Challenge. Just pay attention to the storm circle and start your search toward the edges of the map as the circle is likely to move inland.

Deal (3,000) damage to opponents structures with a Minigun

The hardest part of this Challenge will likely be locating and holding on to a Minigun as it’s typically not a viable weapon choice. Once you’ve found a Minigun, try to third party other player’s build fights to get easy structural damage.

If you’re struggling, consider playing Duos or Squads and allow your teammates to build fight while you shoot the opponents build from the back.

Eliminate (3) opponents with an SMG less than 15m away

Your choices for this Challenge include the Submachine Gun, Suppressed Submachine Gun, and Burst SMG.

The Submachine Gun is the best choice for this Challenge due to its high rate of fire when compared to the other options (accounting for the Burst SMG’s burst delay.) The best way to complete this Challenge is to land at the current Tilted Towers iteration and fight enemies indoors during the early game.

Search (7) Chests at Tilted

Here is a map of Chest spawns for Neo Tilted. Depending on when you’re completing this Challenge, Neo Tilted may have been replaced by Tilted Town or something else. Unfortunately we have not documented the new Chest spawns for the Rift Zone variations of Tilted at this time.

In Neo Tilted, the best spots to land depend on your playstyle. If you're confident in close quarters, hectic engagements, land in the large center building. If you prefer to avoid the action, consider landing at the Tower or its surrounding buildings.

Prestige Objectives

(2) Eliminations with an SMG in a single match

Your choices for this Challenge include the Submachine Gun, Suppressed Submachine Gun, and Burst SMG.

The aforementioned SMG tips also apply to this Challenge. If you find yourself struggling, consider playing the Team Rumble mode as you’ll have more than enough opportunity to secure the required eliminations. On respawn you can land on top of your opponents to secure an unexpected elimination.

Search (5) Chests inside containers with windows

Above is a map of all 5 locations for the Containers with Windows. The required Containers are distinguished by a Window Spray on the side.

This Challenge will likely take you multiple games to complete due to the RNG associated with Chest spawns, and the fact that you’ll have to search the Chests before any other players in that match. If you’re struggling, consider looting a nearby area and killing any unarmed players which try to search the Chest at the beginning of the match, then get the Chest for yourself before heading out.

Spray (6) cars or trucks in different Named Locations

For this Challenge you’ll need to have unlocked any Spray; If this is your first Season, Tier 8 in the Season X Battle Pass will reward you with one.

This Challenge is rather simple as most Named Locations will have at least one vehicle that you can Spray. The above map shows the location of a vehicle in Pleasant Park, Neo Tilted, Salty Sprigs, Fatal Fields, Paradise Palms, and Mega Mall. We would suggest starting with Pleasant Park or Paradise Palms and grabbing a nearby Driftboard to help speed up the rotations between named locations.

Visit (2) graffiti covered billboards in a single match

The two Billboards required for this Challenge are distinguished by the GG Smiley Spray being painted on them. You can visit the Billboards in any order, and they're not too far apart.

One Billboard can be found Southwest of Salty Springs, near the river.

The other Billboard can be found on the West side of Shifty Shafts.

(500) Damage to opponents with a Minigun

The most difficult part to this challenge is usually finding the Minigun. Since it's fairly rare, it's usually just better to do challenges like these in Team Rumble which will grant you more opportunities to use it and get ammo.

The Minigun is a generally underrated weapon - it tends to really shred people and structures down. Just point in the general direction and click and hold. The only thing you need to worry about are snipers and shotguns one shotting you. Again, if you're in Team Rumble, it's not the biggest deal - you'll just respawn and have more opportunities to try again.

Eliminate (5) opponents with an SMG less than 5m away

Your choices for this Challenge include the Submachine Gun, Suppressed Submachine Gun, and Burst SMG.

The aforementioned SMG tips also apply to this Challenge. The most effective strategy would be to stay indoors in a populated area, such as Tilted, and catch enemies off guard. Be warned that sometimes you’ll be outgunned by Shotguns, but don’t stress, you can complete this Challenge over multiple matches.

If you’re struggling, consider going into the Team Rumble mode.

Eliminate (5) opponents in Tilted with the Tilted Teknique outfit

Tilted Teknique is an Epic Outfit which is unlocked at Tier 23 of the Season X Battle Pass.

Tips for eliminating opponents in Tilted:

  • Always try to have the high ground advantage. Tilted is full of various buildings and levels, shooting down at your enemies is much easier than shooting up at an enemy. This also gives you the ability to take cover using your surroundings, while the lower player will struggle to find cover.
  • Shotguns and SMGs are the most viable choices for Tilted due to the fast-paced gunfights and high density of players.
  • If you have trouble winning aim fights, the best time to get kills is upon landing - land on a gun and immediately push the nearest people
  • Use the Treasure Chest map above to help with figuring out where to land

Battle Star

A Fork and Knife can be found on the building in the top-left corner of the Spray and Pray loading screen, as seen below.

This landmark can be found Northwest of Fatal Fields.
