Season X Blockbuster Challenges (Fortnite Battle Pass Guide)

Mission Objectives

Land in Dusty Depot, then visit the Meteor in a single match

Dusty Depot is a named location on the map, the Meteor is very hard to miss as it’s suspended in the air just above the nearby Factories.

You’ll want to exit through the front of Dusty Depot and head into the trees which are between the Depot and Factories for the most cover. You could also stop at the crates which is sat alongside the road if you’re in need of some extra loot.

Harvest (300) materials at the Block

Because The Block is constantly evolving, there is no best spot to complete this Challenge. If you’re a regular player of the game you’ll know which structures grant the most materials.

Wood

  • Trees
  • Wooden Pallets
  • Fences

Stone

  • Boulders/Rocks

Metal

  • Fences
  • Cars

The Team Rumble mode is a good choice for this Challenge as you can harvest away at materials without the worry of dying. You can immediately respawn and continue on as you were.

Land at a run down Hero Mansion and an abandoned Villain Lair

The rundown Hero Mansion was added in Fortnite’s 4th Season, it can be found on the East edge of the map just above the Race Track.

The abandoned Villain Lair was also added around this time, and can be found within the side of a mountain on the West side of the map near Snobby Shores.

Deal (250) damage while being affected by low gravity

For this Challenge, you’ll need to locate a Rift Zone which gives the players within a low gravity effect. They can be found at locations such as the Meteor and Loot Lake.

Due to the increased vertical movement, build fights will be common in these areas. You can check out our YouTube Channel for tips which aim to help you improve.

Search between a basement film camera, a snowy stone head, and a flashy gold big rig

This Challenge refers to a point on the map which is Southwest of Shifty Shafts, located atop a snowy hill. You can access this point by building or using the various ziplines in the area.

Once you approach the location, a Battle Star will appear and can be obtained.

Consume (10) fruit, mushrooms, or glitched foraged items

For this Challenge, you’ll want to visit the Explosion Site which is where the Rec Center / Soccer Stadium once stood. An exploded Rift Beacon caused numerous Glitched Consumables to be scattered all over the area. You can easily complete this Challenge there.

Here are the various consumable effects:

  • Apple: +5 HP
  • Mushroom: +5 Shield
  • Coconut: +5 HP or Shield
  • Pepper: Increased player movement speed
  • Hop Rock: Decreased player gravity
  • Shadow Stone: 45 seconds of Shadow Form. While in Shadow Form, the player is unable to use any weapons, becomes invisible to enemies when stationary, leaves behind a Shadow Trail while moving, gains increased movement speed, jump height, fall damage immunity and the Phase ability which can be activated by pressing the Primary Fire button.

Claim vending machines in (3) different matches

Vending Machines can be found in various locations around the map. As of patch v8.10, Vending Machines no longer require materials to obtain the displayed weapon.

You don’t really need to purposefully go for this Challenge; just play as your normally would and take the free weapon from a Vending Machine whenever you see it.

Prestige Objectives

(3) Eliminations at Dusty Depot or the Meteor

As long as you’re going for this Challenge within the first week or so of the Season X Week 5 Blockbuster Challenges releasing, you shouldn’t have any trouble finding enemies at either of these locations.

The Meteor is the better choice of the two, not because of the loot availability, but because you can jump off and use its low-gravity effect at any time should you find yourself losing an engagement. This gives you an easy reset and will typically throw your opponent off.

Search (7) chests or ammo boxes at the Block

Because The Block is ever-changing, we cannot provide you with a detailed map of Chest spawns for this location.

7 Chests is quite high when a good chunk of the lobby during the initial release period for these Challenges is going to be landing there, so there’s not much else you can do. Figure out the perfect flight path from the Battle Bus and land there as soon as possible. You don’t always need to go for the obvious loot locations, take some time to look around and find the best spot to go.

Search (7) chests at an abandoned Hero Mansion or Villain Lair

For this Challenge, you’ll absolutely want to land at the Abandoned Hero Mansion as there are just over double the amount of potential spawns there than the Villain Lair. The Villain Lair isn’t a worthwhile place to land, however it doesn’t hurt to visit should you be in the area.

Abandoned Hero Mansion

There are a total of 3 potential Chest spawns at the Abandoned Hero Mansion.

Villain Lair

There are a total of 8 potential Chest spawns at the Villain Lair.

Deal (500) damage with explosive weapons

Your choices for this Challenge include the Grenade, Proximity Grenade Launcher, and Rocket Launcher. Each weapon has its strengths and weaknesses depending on the situation you are in. Overall, most players would agree that the Rocket Launcher (RPG) is the best all-around choice.

Both of the Rocket Launchers tend to mainly spawn in Supply Drops making them relatively rare, not to mention that Rocket Ammo will no longer drop from eliminated players or ammo crates. Grenades are also the only throwable explosive at this time.

The High Explosives LTM is not likely to return in time for this Challenge, so we highly recommend going into the Team Rumble mode to complete this Challenge.

Search between a rotary phone, a fork-knife, and a hilltop house full of Carbide and Omega posters

This Challenge refers to a point on the map which is Northwest of Fatal Fields, located behind a small log cabin.

Once you approach the location, a Battle Star will appear and can be obtained.

Consume (8) fruit, mushrooms, or glitched foraged items in a single match

Once again, for this Challenge you’ll want to visit the Explosion Site located on the West side of the map, where the Soccer Stadium once stood.

Here you can find numerous Glitched Consumables to help you easily complete this Challenge. Refer to the base Mission Objective variant of this Challenge for further information.

Harvest (300) materials at the Block or Dusty Depot in a single match

The Block is an ever-changing point of interest, because of this, we cannot provide you with any specifics tips or spots to aid you in completing this Challenge.

The Team Rumble mode is a good choice for this Challenge as you can harvest away at materials without the worry of dying. You can immediately respawn and continue on as you were.
