Season 8 Week 6 Fortnite Battle Pass Guide

While some of this week's Challenges are straightforward, others may require a bit of guidance. Here’s our weekly Battle Pass Guide, in addition to @ItsEnergie’s cheat sheet at the bottom!

Free Challenges

Visit a wooden rabbit, a stone pig, and a metal llama - 5 Battle Stars

This Challenge is rather simple, the player must simply locate and be within range of the 3 structures to complete the Challenge.

The Wooden Rabbit and Metal Llama are decently close together and could prove to be a worthwhile landing spot, while the Stone Pig is located a bit farther south and may require an extra game depending on the storm location.

Wooden Rabbit

The Wooden Rabbit can be found west of Pleasant Park, or North of Snobby Shores. It is located on the hilltop behind a lonesome house.

Stone Pig

The Stone Pig can be found east of Lucky Landing. It is located on a hilltop on the edge of the grassland and desert biomes.

Metal Llama

The Metal Llama is likely the easiest structure to find due to its time in the game, it can be found just north of Junk Junction.

Visit the 5 highest elevations on the island - 5 Battle Stars

While the following list is in order from the lowest to highest elevation, this Challenge can be completed in any order across multiple matches.

4 of 5 locations are condensed in the western region of the map due to its mountainous geography. This allows the player to easily complete up to 4 stages of the Challenge in a single match if desired.

Shopping Cart Mountain (111m)

While not a named point of interest, the Shopping Cart Mountain is a widely known area which can be found north of the soccer field.

Villain Lair (111m)

Directly west of the Shopping Cart Mountain, the abandoned Villain Lair of Season 4 is tied for the 4th/5th highest elevation.

Frozen Submarine (130m)

The Frozen Submarine east of Frosty Flights features the 3rd highest elevation.

Polar Peak (170m)

At the very top of the Polar Peak castle is the 2nd highest elevation.

Volcano (172m)

Last but not least, yet the most obvious, is the Volcano.

The Polar Peak Castle and Villain Lair will prove to be the most reliable landing points for players who wish to complete the Challenge as soon as possible.

Eliminate 3 opponents at Lazy Lagoon or Frosty Flights - 10 Battle Stars

Lazy Lagoon features an above average amount of Chest spawns at 33, while Frosty Flights sits at a slightly above average 25 Chest spawns. Both points of interest offer more than enough early-game loot to get the eliminations required for this fairly-easy Challenge.

Battle Pass Challenges

Land at ____________ - 5 Battle Stars

  • Stage 1: Land at Fatal Fields
  • Stage 2: Land at Lazy Lagoon
  • Stage 3: Land at Shifty Shafts
  • Stage 4: Land at Frosty Flights
  • Stage 5: Land at Sunny Steps

Due to the nature of this Challenge, you will likely only advance one stage per match. However, note that it is possible to use a Launch Pad and land at the desired point of interest to complete multiple stages in a single match.

Search where the knife points on the Treasure Map loading screen - 5 Battle Stars

This is the Treasure Map loading screen. You must first unlock it by reaching Tier 10 of the Battle Pass. If you do not, the Treasure will not appear.

The knife on the Treasure Map loading screen points to a bare patch of grass located just outside of the abandoned Hero Mansion, north of the Race Track.

Get an elimination with a Flint-Knock Pistol or Boom Bow - 10 Battle Stars

This Challenge should be simple for the average player, the hardest part will be finding a Flint-Knock Pistol or Boom Bow. Here are some notes on each weapon:

  • The Uncommon Flint-Knock Pistol deals an extreme amount of headshot damage, be sure to aim for the head when using it.
    • It might make sense to soften the enemy up with a shotgun and swap to the pistol to try to get the elimination
    • However much damage it does, it's not the most accurate weapon in the game
      • Since it only fires one shot before requiring a long reload, be very careful when using it
  • As for the Legendary Boom Bow, it's a new kind of explosive weapon that can actually get headshots
    • It packs quite a punch, but it won't necessarily kill people in one hit from splash damage or body shots
      • Headshots however will kill an enemy at full health and shields
    • It uses Shotgun ammo, and not explosive
    • Note that you need to charge the bow up by holding left click in order to get the best results
    • The hardest part is really just finding this weapon, but it's definitely much better for getting elims vs the Flint-Knock

Use 2 different throwable items in a single match - 10 Battle Stars

The throwable equipment available for this Challenge include the Boogie Bomb, Clinger, Dynamite, Stink Bomb, and Impulse Grenade. Here's some notes:

  • Clingers, Dynamite, and Stink Bombs all excel at hurting people who are turtling, forcing them either to reposition or take a ton of damage
    • Clingers fall straight down if the structure they're attached to is broken - you can throw two on the roof of an enemy turtle and catch them off guard that way
    • You can lead the fuse on Dynamite, meaning you can hold them in your hand and throw them when they're about to explode
      • The explosion radius on Dynamite is pretty big, meaning you can really tear builds down with them
    • Stink Bombs don't tend to do that much damage, as most people tend to run out of them quite easily
      • Try to use them at choke points or on enemies without much space to run out of the gas
  • Boogie Bombs and Impulse Grenades are more utility oriented
    • Boogie Bombs are great for pushing opponents, keeping them unable to build or shoot a weapon as you line up your shot
    • Impulses on the other hand are a mobility tool used to close distances - you can use them to speed up a rotation, save an ally from the storm, or to get closer to an enemy
