Season 9 Week 6 Fortnite Battle Pass Guide

Free Challenges

Stages 1-5: Land at ____________ - (0/5)

  • Stage 1/5: Land at Lucky Landing – 1 Battle Star
  • Stage 2/5: Land at Loot Lake – 1 Battle Star
  • Stage 3/5: Land at Shifty Shafts – 1 Battle Star
  • Stage 4/5: Land at Frosty Flights – 1 Battle Star
  • Stage 5/5: Land at Haunted Hills – 1 Battle Star

Straightforward and easy challenge as usual. Simply jump from the Battle Bus and land at the desired point of interest. In the event that you forget to land at the desired location, you can use a Launch Pad to land there.

Deal (500) damage with SMGs to opponents – 5 Battle Stars

At the moment, only the Burst SMG counts towards this challenge (the Drum Gun was reclassified as an Assault Rifle in v9.20).

The Burst SMG is very accurate at close range and packs quite a punch. Instead of aiming for the head however, you want to aim slightly lower so that the gun’s natural recoil forces you to hit multiple shots (and usually a headshot). Landing on them in a hot drop can usually result in a quick elimination or two. Just don’t panic and remember to aim before shooting.

The furthest range we would suggest using the Burst SMG is around 3-4 tiles away from the enemy. Since you can complete this challenge over the multiple games, we’d suggest not stressing over it. If you really want to get it out of the way quickly, Team Rumble will make completing this challenge trivial.

Stages 1-3: ___________ at a Hot Spot - (0/10)

  • Stage 1/3: Search (3) chests at a Hot Spot – 3 Battle Stars
  • Stage 2/3: Search (3) ammo boxes at a Hot Spot – 3 Battle Stars
  • Stage 3/3: (1) Elimination at a Hot Spot – 4 Battle Stars

A Hot Spot is a named Point of Interest that is colored differently at the start of each game. Anywhere between 1 to 3 spawn in a single lobby, and they have loot carriers flying around you can shoot for good loot. You can find the hot spots by opening your map:

Beyond that, the stages are very self-explanatory.

For Stage 1, we’d suggest taking a look at our treasure chest map for a bit of help. It’ll likely be 99% correct, save for a few recent changes.

For Stage 2, you’ll find ammo boxes literally everywhere. There’s not much to give a hint for.

For Stage 3, the easiest way to get an elimination is to make sure you’re able to land and pick up a weapon safely. Once you’ve done that, there ought to be targets (because it’s a hot drop) that you can instantly rush and try to spray down.

Battle Pass Challenges

Deal (200) Damage to a vehicle driven by an opponent – 5 Battle Stars

This is a super easy challenge. Vehicles tend to be really big and loud, so usually you’ll hear them before you see them. For this challenge, usually regular ARs are the best at dealing consistent damage to vehicles because they’re able to track high speed vehicles. You can also use the Heavy Sniper, but you’ll find landing a shot a little more difficult.

The toughest part is really just finding a vehicle driven by an opponent, but in most regular games you’ll see it happening more often than not.

Use a Storm Flip in (3) different matches – 5 Battle Stars

This should be a very easy Challenge; the only laborious aspect is obtaining a Storm Flip, they are of the Epic rarity and can be found in Floor Loot, Chests, and Vending Machines.

Use (2) different vehicles in a single match – 10 Battle Stars

This is the simplest challenge ever. In the map, you’ll tend to find Driftboards next to Quadcrasher or Baller spawns.

Eliminate (3) opponents in The Block or Fatal Fields – 10 Battle Stars

Here is the map for Fatal Fields:

Unfortunately, we can’t provide a Treasure Chest Map for the Block as it changes too often. Here are tips for both locations:

The Block:

  • Since this changes every week, it’s hard to give any general tips for it
  • Know that the Block includes a “legendary chest” which includes a guaranteed legendary item
    • It is worthwhile to look for it if you land there
  • If you’re really that keen on going to the Block for eliminations, our best suggestion is to land there a few times and figure out that week’s layout
    • If you know the layout of the location, you’ll instantly have a leg up over every other player who lands there
    • Make sure you know where the loot is, where are good spots to peek from, etc

Fatal Fields:

  • Fatal Fields is a bit spread out with the action usually occurring at the House, the big Red Barn, and the long barn to the north
    • We prefer landing at the house as that tends to have the most action and highest density of loot
      • It also has a good amount of mats you can get from breaking furniture
  • You can hide in the corn fields and search for loot there if you’re desperate
  • If your landing for House isn’t good, consider landing on one of the side chests and slowly making your way to the house
  • Try not to run out in the open - you’ll likely die from taking fire from every side
    • Try to scout out the area from the roof of your building and make sure the coast is clear before rotating to another building
  • As usual, shotguns and ARs tend to shine here

Utopia Challenge

Unfortunately, even-numbered weeks in Season 9 do not feature a Utopia Challenge as Banner Icons have been phased out for Fortbytes.
